A celebration of all things VJ, Visual Music / WMC Miami 2006 brings the video performance artist front and center. The program is sponsored by the Winter Music Conference, Edirol, a division of Roland, and EJ Enterprises; and presented by Hi-Beam Entertainment and Flavored Layers. To WMC, Ultra Music Festival and beyond, Visual Music / WMC Miami 2006 brings many of the world's top VJs to light up the night in Miami. Detailed information is available at the Visual Music WMC website The program culminates in a WMC panel featuring Carl Cox, VJ v2 (Vello Virkhaus), Sandra Collins, Dijjital Ambiance, VJ Anyone, Justin Kent, United Vision, and Love Intelligence, chaired by Andrew Borg (Hi-Beam Entertainment) and Dave Gutierrez (Flavored Layers). The panel session opens with a live video performance featuring the world premier of a 4-channel live video scratch remix of the original Joshua Lightshow, paying tribute to the great Joshua White. Joshua was an early pioneer in the art of dance music visualization, starting in the mid 1960’s in New York. The Remix will be performed by Dijjital Ambiance with audio mix by Nick Rockwell (courtesy of Nuvo Music). Thanks to Joshua for donating the use of archival footage expressly for this Remix. |
